Job summary

LJA invites a GIS Intern to work in the Public Works department, performing spatial data analysis, field inspections, and map production. You’ll join a hands-on team and contribute to real projects, developing technical and professional skills through mentorship and in-person collaboration.

We value a strong work ethic and organizational skills; ArcGIS Pro or QGIS experience is preferred, and interns benefit from ESOP participation and a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in GIS courses and working towards a Bachelor’s degree or recently graduated.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Prefer experience with ArcGIS Pro and/or QGIS.

Responsibilities

• Mapping LJA projects into a GIS-managed database.
• Field work: data collection and utility inspections.
• Exhibit map preparation and data entry.
• Database management and GIS support.
