The City of East Palo Alto is seeking an Environmental Services Aide for the Public Works Department. This on-site, full-time role focuses on outreach and enforcement to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations, including water quality and stormwater management.

The position requires strong communication, report writing, and the ability to work with the public and city staff. A degree and CA driver’s license are required, with CPR certification to be obtained within 60 days.

Formación

• Education: Graduation from 12th grade; associate degree or higher preferred in a related field.
• Experience: One year of progressive customer service experience; public/non-profit experience desirable.
• License/Certifications: Valid CA Class C Driver’s License with good driving record; CPR certification within 60 days.

Responsabilidades

• Outreach and enforcement to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
• Produce accurate, factual reports and presentations for boards and commissions.
• Work effectively with the public, vendors, city officials and staff; explain complex rules clearly.
