City of Nampa is seeking a Project Manager - Engineering for Public Works. The role focuses on planning, design, and construction of assigned projects under the Engineering Manager – Transportation, with opportunities to influence scopes and schedules.

The position requires strong management, coordination with contractors and utilities, and compliance with regulations. DOE salary with full-time benefits and a supportive city government environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in construction contracts and project management in the public sector preferred.
• Valid Idaho driver’s license.
• Proficient with computer software and able to quickly learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop scope of work, budgets, and schedules for public works projects.
• Manage contracts with design professionals, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Maintain project records and electronic files; monitor expenditures against budgets.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local codes and regulations.
• Coordinate with staff, contractors, agencies, and public; adjust design/scope as needed.
• Prepare reports, charts, and correspondence; review project progress and standards.
