Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Public Works Engineering Intern to join our team in College Station, TX for the summer of 2027. You will support engineering tasks in planning, design, and construction of public works while gaining real-world experience and expanding your technical skills.

The role emphasizes exposure to AutoCAD or similar software, strong organizational abilities, and effective communication within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Exposure to or familiarity with AutoCAD or similar engineering software is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work with a team of professionals and independently.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assists with preparing basic plan details, drawings, and calculations under supervision.
• Supports development of technical specifications and project documentation.
• Drafts sections of technical reports or memorandums with direction from the team.
• Participates in field visits to observe tests, take measurements, and collect field data.
• Provides general support to project teams, including helping with proposal materials as needed.
• Performs assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance.
• Utilizes current company-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
