Qualifications

• Two years of college level coursework in civil engineering or related field.
• High School diploma and six years experience in construction or maintenance of public facilities.
• Possession of Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect routine public works and private development projects.
• Maintain accurate records on project progress and field reports.
• Explain standards to contractors and citizens and review plans for conformance.
• Assist with construction management duties and monitor budgets.
