Job summary

City of Boise is seeking a skilled engineer to lead a diverse range of public works projects, from water renewal to drainage and building facilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, electrical, structural, sanitary or mechanical engineering or a closely related field and four years of experience in engineering.
• Knowledge of engineering design, project management, and related regulations.
• Ability to pass background checks and maintain driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage public works engineering projects including sewer, water renewal, drainage, and site development.
• Prepare plans, specifications and estimates for public works construction.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and city staff; oversee permitting and contract administration.
• Inspect projects, manage design reviews, and ensure compliance with plans and codes.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to project teams as needed.
