Job summary

The City of Twin Falls seeks a Professional Engineer to plan, design, and manage public infrastructure projects across the community. You will move projects from concept through construction, coordinating with City staff, consultants, contractors, developers, regulatory agencies, and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Five (5) years of professional engineering experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Professional Engineer license in Idaho, or active PE license in another state with ability to obtain Idaho licensure within city timeframe.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital improvement and public works projects from design through construction.
• Prepare and review plans, specifications, bid documents, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, developers, and regulatory agencies.
• Review subdivision, street, water, sewer, stormwater, and irrigation plans.
• Conduct field inspections and help resolve construction issues.
• Manage contracts, project budgets, change orders, and invoices.
• Provide technical recommendations to City departments and leadership.
• Prepare reports and presentations.
• Assist residents, developers, and contractors with engineering-related questions.
