Job summary

The City of Twin Falls is seeking an Engineer-in-Training to join our Engineering team and help plan, design, and manage public infrastructure projects. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience with municipal projects.

You’ll work with licensed PEs on projects across streets, water, sewer, irrigation, and utilities, and you’ll grow through a supportive, values-driven environment focused on honesty, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EI/EIT certification.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Help manage capital improvement and public works projects from design through construction.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, bid documents, and cost estimates.
• Work with consultants, contractors, developers, and regulatory agencies.
• Review subdivision, street, water, sewer, stormwater, and irrigation plans.
• Conduct field inspections and help resolve construction issues.
• Assist with contracts, change orders, project budgets, and invoices.
• Provide engineering support to City departments.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and presentations.
• Assist residents, developers, and contractors with engineering-related questions.
