County of Kittitas (WA) is seeking a Construction Manager to inspect right-of-way work and ensure safe passage for motorists and crews. The role supervises staff and coordinates with the Deputy Director, Director/County Engineer, and County Surveyor to implement the annual construction program.

The position handles road/bridge construction contracts, surveys, testing coordination, permit approvals, and budget tracking across multiple county projects including airports and flood control zones.

Formación

• AA degree in Engineering Science or related field.
• At least five (5) years’ experience in organizational government, budgeting, construction management and contract administration.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience of construction personnel.
• Experience using AutoCAD, ArcView GIS and Microsoft Office programs.

Responsabilidades

• Manage county road and bridge construction contracts and supervise inspection.
• Coordinate with consultants for design and prepare plans and specifications.
• Oversee survey crew scheduling and testing coordination; provide monthly pay estimates.
• Review and approve permits for work in the county right-of-way.
• Provide detailed estimates for projects and manage project documentation.
• Supervise construction inspection crew and administer contracts for Public Works.
• Manage annual road striping program and construction activity at airport and flood control zones.
