Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; 3 to 5 years of experience in construction related to Public Works and private development projects (grading, paving, sidewalk construction, trails, and stormwater).
• Must possess and maintain a valid state of Florida driver's license.
• Must possess or obtain FEMA 100, 200, and 700 Incident Command System certifications within 6 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Inspects private and public construction within rights-of-way to ensure compliance with regulations and specs.
• Inspects driveways, sidewalks, drainage, erosion control, and storm pipes.
• Notifies contractors of deviations and errors; reviews project plans and permits.
• Coordinates field and plan conflicts; reviews soil reports and CCTV video inspections.
• Maintains project records and prepares reports; ensures compliance with plans.
