Job summary

City of Maypearl is seeking a Grounds Keeper responsible for maintaining city grounds, operating lawn equipment, and assisting with water and wastewater facility upkeep. Position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, pass a drug test, and operate a variety of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities include mowing, weed eating, tree trimming, meter reading, and repairing leaks in water and sewer systems, along with general maintenance of streets and drainage areas. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds within city limits (mowing, weed eating, trim trees).

Job description

Grounds keeper, Repairs Equipment, treatment of facilities used to pump, store distribute, convey, treat and process water and wastewater. Fix/Repair water leaks, Fix/Repair sewer leaks. Does water samples and testing. Complies with any TCEQ standards and qualifications. Maintenance of streets, drainage, water, and wastewater facilities. Reads all water meters. Grounds keeper should mow, weed eat, and clean alleys and ditches throughout the city limits, and trim any trees hanging over the edges of the roads. Repairs and maintains all ground equipment and city properties.

Be able to lift minimum of 50lbs. Be able to operate equipment (lawn mowers, weed eater, chainsaws, tractors, backhoe) Be able to stand for long periods of time. Be able to work independently. Pass a drug test. Have a valid Driver's License.
