Ozark Regional Transit is seeking a professional Bus Driver to operate public transit buses on assigned routes with a focus on safety, timeliness, and customer service. You will perform vehicle inspections, assist riders, and provide route information while maintaining a courteous attitude.

The role requires a valid CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement (P) and Air Brakes, and meeting USDOT/FTA standards. DOT medical certification is also required.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English (speak, read, write).
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Must follow verbal and written instructions, basic math
• Reads maps or GPS and operates vehicle equipment.
• Assists passengers in wheelchairs and secures wheelchairs on bus.
• Reads schedules and provides route information accurately.
• Attention to detail; adheres to safety and service standards.
• Meets FTA/DOT safety and background requirements.

Responsabilités

• Operate public transit bus safely and on time according to route schedule.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and operate wheelchair lifts.
• Secure bikes on racks and assist passengers as needed.
• Make public announcements and answer questions about routes.
• Monitor passenger movements and report issues; exercise prudent judgment.
• Provide general information on routes and schedules to riders.
