Job description

The Public Speaker for Healthcare Fairs will be responsible for representing United Healthcare Federal Programs at in-person events. The Public Speaker is required to clear Federal security upon arrival and set up the carrier table with all applicable materials, promo items, and display banners. During in-person events, the Public Speaker will be expected to answer basic health, dental, and vision questions, and provide health and wellness information.



Qualifications:


  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED

  • Must have public speaking skills

  • Must be able to travel 100% of the time (some may be overnight travel; some may require air travel or driving long distances)

  • Must be flexible to work any hours; hours will vary depending on business needs-early mornings, some late nights and potentially a weekend day(s)

  • Must have access to reliable transportation to travel to client sites within a designated area

  • Must be able to meet/navigate travel requirements-drive, train, etc.

  • Must have a personal computer or tablet and mobile phone to be used for work purposes




Specific Duties:

  • Promote and educate Federal employees on medical, dental, and vision products to increase enrollment and retain membership at in-person events

  • Present products and programs to a variety of audiences and Federal agencies

  • Stay informed on all products to be a Subject Matter Expert

  • Support members and/or prospective members with questions pertaining to basic benefits information; if additional support is needed, able to clearly identify additional resources to support

  • Other duties as assigned by Sales Director or Account

  • Manager responsible for the region




Locations and Areas of Hire:

Arkansas - Little Rock

Tennessee - Memphis and Nashville

Other Continental USA Locations as needed



Hours for Training AND After Training:


  • Training will be held virtually in the Eastern Standard Time Zone; dates to be determined.

  • Each Public Speaker will need access to a personal laptop/iPad to attend training via Microsoft TEAMS and/or UHC's 'On24' platform

  • Hours for each job varies based on client needs and scheduling of health fairs by each individual Federal agency

  • Health fairs could be from 10 AM to 2 PM; speakers will be paid for travel time, as well, up to 20-30 hours a week.
