Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Public Area Attendant to clean and maintain interior and exterior spaces across properties. The role requires attention to detail, reliable teamwork, and the ability to perform duties in common areas, restrooms and offices.

Responsibilities include vacuuming, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and assisting with event setup. The position may involve long hours and varied shifts, with a commitment to safety and cleanliness across all assigned areas.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Capable of working extended hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to speak English clearly.
• Position involves standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and climbing stairs.
• Work indoors/outdoors and adapt to variable conditions.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum all public hallways, common areas and elevators.
• Empty trash and recycling from common areas and restrooms.
• Clean restrooms and common areas.
• Mop tile hallways and corridors.
• Assist with Health Club locker rooms as needed.
• Wipe down furniture, walls, fixtures and counters.
• Maintain cleanliness of office spaces.
• Set up and break down tables/chairs for events.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Report supply needs and safety concerns to supervisor.
