Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic Public Area Attendant in East Lansing to maintain lobby, restrooms, and public spaces to high standards. The role requires a high school education and at least one year in housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School education.
• Minimum of one (1) year in a housekeeping role.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains all hotel public areas, including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, etc. to meet quality standards.
• Cleans bathrooms, dusts furniture, vacuums, sweeps and mops floors.
• Empties carts of soiled linen and disposes trash.
• Maintains efficient communication on two-way radio to ensure that tasks are prioritized.
• Maintains lobby, elevators, stairways, hallways, and Front Desk area to assure they are clean, neat and free of rubbish and debris.
• Cleans and maintains public restrooms in a neat and orderly fashion to provide fresh and attractive facilities for guests.
• Restrooms must be checked on once an hour to assure they remain neat and clean.
• Removes spots, insects and debris, polishes fixtures and cleans ashtrays.
• Delivers items to rooms upon request and assists in cleaning guest rooms as needed.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.
