Job summary

Applegreen operates travel plazas across the Northeast and Midwest and is seeking a Custodian Full Time to keep locations clean and welcoming for travelers. You’ll use cleaning chemicals and equipment to maintain restrooms, dining areas, and lobbies, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Flexible schedules are available; candidates should be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds, and be comfortable working days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment to complete tasks.
• Cleans toilets, walls, windows, worktables, refrigerators, and other areas as necessary.
• Removes trash to designated areas and maintains lobby and dining areas.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and buffs floors to keep spaces clean.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas and loads/unloads trucks.
• Follows security, sanitation, and safety procedures established by the Company.
