AMLS and NY public librarian certs are required; seven years of senior leadership experience; salary $180,000-$188,000; full-time exempt.

Qualifications

• MLS from an ALA-accredited library school is required.
• Public Librarian’s Professional Certificate from New York is required.
• Minimum seven years of supervisory/management experience in a library setting.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic and functional oversight of library public services across Central Library and six Service Regions.
• Report to the Chief Librarian and participate in high-level decision making for Brooklyn Public Library.
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and ensure consistent, high-quality public service across all branches.
