The Tufts Archival Research Center seeks a dynamic Public Services and Instruction Archivist to lead its public services program and support teaching, learning, and research across Tufts University. Qualifications

• MLIS from an ALA-accredited program with archives concentration or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years in an archives or special collections setting.
• Ability to work with word processing, spreadsheets, databases and archival software.
• Strong research processes knowledge for academic and genealogical work.
• Familiarity with public services trends in archives and special collections.
• Excellent project management and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide reference and instruction services to researchers (on-site and remote).
• Design, teach, and evaluate instruction sessions with faculty collaboration.
• Oversee reading room operations and document procedures for public services.
• Manage workflow for email and remote reference; delegate projects as needed.
• Supervise staff and contribute to outreach, exhibitions and online presence.
