Job summary

Orange County Government is seeking a Youth & Family Services professional to perform casework and assist in determining client eligibility for financial assistance and related services in Central Florida. The role involves home visits, information/referral services, and coordinating appointments under supervision.

Responsibilities include interviewing applicants, maintaining client files, liaising with partners, and providing direct program services to clients.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or 60 hours of college credit and two years of human services experience.
Possess Florida driver's license and may need to provide own vehicle.
Demonstrate intermediate to advanced proficiency in word processing and email applications.

Responsibilities

Screen and interview applicants for eligibility for financial assistance or division programs.
Conduct home visits and investigations to assess home environment and supplement interview data.
Attend staff conferences and prepare reports on assigned cases.
Screen and assess walk-in clients to determine readiness for eligibility appointments and schedule them.
Advise clients on documentation needed for interview.
Coordinate with partners, contractors and service providers.
Maintain client files per prescribed standards and procedures.
