You will interpret acts, coordinate with the Attorney General, and conduct technical research for administrative officials. Hybrid schedule and a starting salary of $8,270 monthly, with a full range to $12,767 monthly at IDOC – Springfield.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney in Illinois with an active license.
• Judicial and legal research skills preferred.
• Experience advising on statutory interpretation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal assistance, counsel and advisory services to correctional facilities, facility leadership, and Department staff.
• Interpret complex acts and statutes relevant to Department operations.
• Coordinate legal matters with the Office of the Attorney General and advise Department personnel.
