Qualifications

• Experience or strong interest in federal communications law and policy.
• Strong research, writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Admission to the District of Columbia Bar, or eligibility and willingness to become admitted promptly, is preferred.
• Bar membership in other jurisdictions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise municipal and local government clients on federal telecommunications law topics.
• Draft local regulations and ordinances.
• Draft and negotiate franchises, leases, licenses, and public-private partnerships.
• Conduct legal research and prepare regulatory filings and rulemaking comments.
• Support advocacy efforts and federal court litigation when needed.
