Commonwealth of Virginia, Office of the Attorney General in Richmond, seeks an Assistant Attorney General in the Technology & Procurement Law Section to draft and negotiate technology agreements and advise agencies on procurement matters.

You will work under the Section Chief, handling cloud and SaaS contracts, data privacy issues, and complex IT procurements for agencies across the Commonwealth.

Qualifikationen

• Admitted to the Virginia State Bar or able to waive in at the time of application.
• Three (3) years of experience drafting and negotiating technology contracts.
• Ability to manage government agency clients.

Aufgaben

• Draft, review, and negotiate cloud, Software as a Service (SaaS), software licensing agreements, master service agreements, and other technology procurement contracts.
• Advise agencies on Virginia public procurement law, solicitation and contract legal questions, and vendor management issues.
• Conduct high-risk contract reviews required by statute.
• Advise on data privacy, data sharing, accessibility, and other emerging technology contract terms and issues.
• Serve as primary or back-up counsel to assigned client agencies.
• Review proposed legislation.
• Other duties as assigned by the Section Chief.
