Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice in the Denver, CO area, with openings also in Colorado Springs or Salt Lake City. You will support multiple clients, perform month-end activities, and help with AP, AR, payroll, and tax-related tasks.

Required is a bachelor’s degree with 1–2 years of accounting experience and knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• One to two years of experience providing accounting and financial services is preferred.
• Technical knowledge of QuickBooks and other applicable software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Support multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Complete month-end and other quarterly and annual processing.
• Day to Day Transactions: Coordinates & processes accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
• Month End Processing: Completes basic financial statements. Coordinates and completes account reconciliations (i.e. bank & credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals.)
• Other Quarterly/Annual Processing: Completes sales tax returns, Form 1099s and other forms or items as requested by clients.
