Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Project Architect in New Jersey to lead public sector architecture projects from concept through construction. You will manage design development, coordinate consultants, and ensure design intent aligns with schedule, budget, and code requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a architectural license, 5+ years of project architecture experience, and strong Revit/BIM skills. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to pursuits and proposals.

Qualifications

• Licensed Architect with 5+ years in project architect roles, public sector experience.
• Proficient in Revit and BIM coordination; able to produce construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA, and public sector permitting.
• Excellent design sense, documentation skills, and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects through schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
• Develop and coordinate Revit/BIM models and produce detailed drawings and specs.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants (structural, MEP, civil, landscape) and integrate their work.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and deliverables; mitigate risks to meet requirements.
• Serve as primary client liaison for public sector projects; attend meetings and respond to procurement processes.
• Ensure code compliance, accessibility and permitting are incorporated into design.
• Conduct quality control reviews of drawings and specs; review shop drawings and submittals.
• Mentor junior staff, provide reviews and training.
• Participate in pursuits; develop proposals, scope of work, and fee estimates.
• Collaborate with design leadership to translate design into constructible solutions.
