Qualifications

• Payroll Technician I requires 1 year of payroll/time entry/accounting experience; Technician II requires 3 years in payroll/time entry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily payroll operations for the Police Department.
• Enter, review, and code time-entry forms for processing.
• Prepare payroll reports and data processing inputs.
• Audit payroll records and timesheets for accuracy and compliance.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and MOUs.
• Process sick leave and vacation requests and track usage.
• Balance accounts and input purchase requisitions in the financial system.
• Research regulatory updates and implement changes to the payroll system.
