Zusammenfassung

The City of Santa Rosa is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage full-cycle biweekly payroll, related disbursements, and benefits calculations in the Payroll and Benefits Division of the Finance Department.

You will work with MOUs, CalPERS rules, state and federal tax laws, and an ERP/HRIS system to ensure accurate payroll processing for city employees and retirees, with attention to compliance and customer service.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of payroll processes, MOUs, and CalPERS rules.
• Ability to interpret policies and MOUs in payroll.
• Experience with full-cycle payroll in government settings.

Aufgaben

• Prepares and processes the full cycle bi-weekly payroll
• Sets up and maintains employee master file records in the payroll system
• Reviews PAFs and deduction forms for accuracy and entries
• Reviews time and attendance records for compliance with MOUs and City policies
• Generates pay checks and direct deposits
• Prepares annual W-2 forms
