The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Paralegal II to provide legal, operational, and administrative support to the Office of General Counsel. You will perform substantive legal work under licensed attorneys, including research, drafting, and review of documents, and coordination of subpoenas and records management.

You will liaise across OGC, the North Carolina Department of Justice, divisions, and external stakeholders to ensure efficient handling of agency

Qualificações

• Paralegal training from an accredited institution and two years of paralegal experience.
• Bachelor's degree plus two years of substantive paralegal experience.
• Six years of paralegal experience with delegated, substantive legal work or equivalent.
• North Carolina Paralegal certification is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform legal research and drafting/review of legal documents.
• Provide litigation and administrative hearing support.
• Manage records and subpoenas coordination; assist with regulatory analysis.
• Serve as liaison among OGC, NC Department of Justice, divisions, and external stakeholders.
• Support day-to-day legal operations for agency matters.
