Job summary

The Office of the Colorado State Public Defender in Denver is seeking a Business Analyst to bridge business needs with technology, conducting requirements gathering, process modeling, and documenting business requirements for new systems.

You will work closely with end users, perform data analysis, develop test plans, and support project management and training efforts to ensure successful implementation and user adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or closely related field.
• Three years’ experience as a business analyst or similar role.
• Equivalent training or experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify user needs and requirements.
• Gather and analyze data to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Develop detailed requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Assist IT with planning, design and implementation of software applications and upgrades.
• Create test plans, write test scripts and support implementation and testing of solutions.
• Create training plans and user guides to help employees adopt new technology.
• Produce end-user documentation and ensure alignment with IT security standards.
