Job summary

Colorado Judicial is seeking a mid-level IT Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience to support vendor-delivered technology projects and internal initiatives.

The Analyst will lead requirements activities, liaise between business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams, coordinate UAT, and assist with training and production support in a hybrid work model.

IT Business Analyst

Colorado Judicial is seeking a mid-level IT Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience to support vendor-delivered technology projects and selected internal application initiatives.

The Business Analyst will lead requirements activities, act as a liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams, coordinate UAT, support communication and training activities, and assist with production support and defect clarification.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Business Analyst on vendor-led technology projects.
• Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and ongoing requirements clarification.
• Translate business needs into clear, testable:
• Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
• User Stories
• Use Cases
• Acceptance Criteria
• Work with vendor project managers and solution architects to clarify scope, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests.
• Develop or contribute to communication plans for system releases and changes.
• Partner with business owners to develop training plans, training assets, schedules, train-the-trainer activities, and job aids.
• Coordinate UAT planning, scripts, feedback, and defect resolution.
• Gather and refine requirements for internal application enhancements and smaller projects.
• Participate in production support.
• Triage and reproduce reported issues.
• Clarify expected application behavior.
• Document bugs with steps to reproduce, logs, and business impact.
• Work with development and vendor teams to resolve issues.
