The New York City Department of Investigation (DOI) is seeking a Forensic Accounting or Finance College Aide to support Squad 10's audit team on cases involving waste, fraud, and corruption in capital construction projects. The position involves analyzing financial records, tracing assets, and preparing summaries for interviews and presenting evidence to law enforcement partners.

Qualified students currently pursuing degrees in Accounting, Finance, or related fields will gain exposure to asset

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Accounting/Finance with focus on forensic accounting preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Analyze financial records including bank and credit card accounts, vendor payments, payroll.
• Trace hidden assets, laundered money, and stolen funds.
• Identify additional accounts for investigators to subpoena.
• Prepare written summaries of findings for use by investigators in interviews and presentation of evidence.
