Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field with at least 4 years of experience, including supervisory roles.
• Master’s or CPA credentials may qualify for this executive level position.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit/government fund accounting and grant/contract management.
• Proven ability to supervise, motivate, organize, and prioritize a finance team.
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations including accounting, budgeting, procurement, and internal controls.
• Prepare legislative and county budget requests, monitor spending, and manage amendments.
• Direct financial reporting, year-end close, audits, and grant/contract funding coordination.
• Supervise a finance team of 12, ensuring priorities and deadlines are met.
• Partner with HR to ensure staffing and salary compliance with funding sources.
• Lead, motivate, and support the finance staff in a cross-functional environment.
