The State of Indiana is hiring for a financial support role within the Social Security Disability Determination Bureau on the east side of Indianapolis. The starting salary is $34,216, with compensation potentially commensurate with education and experience.

Qualificações

• Working knowledge of bookkeeping, auditing, contracts and contracting procedures.
• Effective communication, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to learn operation of office equipment.
• Ability to solve varied problems.
• Ability to work under pressure with diplomacy and courtesy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Aptitude for business mathematics and public relations.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain official agency financial records and certify accuracy.
• Exercise limited purchasing and inventory control.
• Assist in preparation and control of agency budget.
• Receive, deposit, and distribute monies and valuables.
• Authorize payment of vouchers or prepare vouchers for signature.
• Write checks and post expenditures using department forms.
• Check requisitions for quality, price, and quantity.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
• Negotiate settlement of accounts.
• Operate office equipment and arrange leases and bids.
