Maricopa County is seeking a Finance Business Analyst to support the Finance Division of the Sheriff’s Office. The role may supervise accounting staff and offers an alternative schedule/telecommute after onboarding.

The position emphasizes accurate financial reporting, budget analysis, and internal controls within a high-volume environment. Ideal candidates hold a Finance/Accounting degree and at least two years of relevant experience, with training in FEMA NIMS IS100/700 and payroll processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Two years of professional level finance experience.
• On-the-job training in FEMA NIMS IS100/700; safety; payroll.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze financial and performance data using multiple information systems and prepare reports.
• Prepare and post journal vouchers for corrections.
• Complete various reconciliation analyses.
• Investigate discrepancies and provide sound recommendations.
• Maintain ledgers, registers, and control accounts.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and maintenance.
• Serve as liaison between MCSO Finance and other County departments.
