Job summary

The City of Indianapolis and Marion County Information Services Agency seeks a senior financial analyst to support budget development, oversight, and financial reporting.

You will assist the CFO, coordinate annual budget planning, monitor expenditures, prepare board and audit reports, ensure compliance with policies, and lead process improvements. Requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 5 years in public-sector finance, and advanced Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5 years of progressive finance or accounting experience.
• 1–2 years of people-management experience.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting and budgetary procedures.
• Proficient in advanced Excel; experience with Word, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the CFO in budgeting, forecasting, and annual budget planning.
• Monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and revise budgets as needed.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and board/OFM submissions.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and audit standards.
• Develop finance processes and drive workflow improvements.
