Job summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs Office of General Counsel seeks an attorney for Akron or Dayton, Ohio to advise and represent VA management onemployment and labor law issues.

The role includes litigating personnel cases before EEOC, MSPB, FLRA and FMCS arbitrators, reviewing personnel matters, and providing occasional management training. Qualified candidates hold a JD and unrestricted Ohio license, with federal-sector and bargaining-unit experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and unrestricted Ohio license to practice law.
• Public sector employment and labor law experience.
• Experience litigating before EEOC, MSPB, FLRA, and FMCS.
• Experience with bargaining-unit employees and unions.
