Job summary

The City of New York’s Office of Labor Relations seeks a Digital Communications Associate to join the newly formed Communications Division. You will craft content, manage social channels, analyze performance, and support health benefits communications for NYC public servants and retirees.

You will work with the Director of Communications to connect workforce engagement with public education, shaping how labor policy and municipal life are communicated. Residency in NYC is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in content creation for blogs, newsletters, and social platforms.
• Proficiency with social platforms, email marketing, and analytics.
• Graphic design or marketing tools proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and format materials for blogs, newsletters, and social platforms.
• Manage social media scheduling, engagement, and brand voice.
• Track campaign metrics using analytics tools and dashboards.
• Design and send health and employee benefits newsletters externally and internally.
• Refresh website and intranet content for digital engagement and user experience.
• Oversee creation of infographics and short-form videos for audience clarity.
• Assist with internal events planning and coordination.
