Job summary

FloridaCommerce is seeking a Government Operations Consultant II to implement statutory requirements for E-Verify and related programs. The role involves independent analysis of cases, drafting communications, and enforcing compliance across state-level operations.

Under the Office of SecureFlorida Deputy Director, the position demands strong regulatory knowledge, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with other agencies to ensure lawful, efficient processes and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to apply applicable statutes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow, and other activities for the improvement of team processes and practices.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log, and track reports of violations and conduct preliminary due diligence inquiries.
• Draft and send communications regarding the compliance inquiry and rights and responsibilities of stakeholders.
• Adhere to the program workflow to ensure preparation for enforcement actions.
• Update and maintain all case information in the appropriate systems.
• Coordinate and conduct independent research and analysis.
• Prepare findings-based reports and summaries for agency leadership.
