Job summary

Peraton is seeking Spring & Summer 2027 Software Engineering Co-ops to support the County of San Diego Contract from January 2027 through August 2027. Co-ops will build and prototype software that helps County departments work faster using modern AI tools and AWS cloud services. You’ll contribute code and test ideas quickly through rapid prototyping in a live public-sector environment. The program offers a 40-hour work week with hybrid arrangement in San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• HS Diploma and some advanced training.
• Undergrad or grad student pursuing CS/SE/CE/Data Science degree.
• Coursework or project experience in Python or Java.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and Git.
