Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess health and development status of pupils through screening and evaluation.
• Coordinate referrals and follow up with parents and school staff.
• Counsel pupils and families; develop care plans to support learning.
• Provide preventive health services and immunizations as required.
• Maintain health records and ensure privacy according to policy.
• Administer medications per state regulations and school health policy.
• Assist physicians with in-school health assessments as needed.
• Supervise and train school health aides where present.
