Job summary

The Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA is seeking a Public Safety Officer (Unarmed) to protect staff, visitors, and the collection. You will patrol buildings, respond to emergencies, and enforce safety policies while providing directions to guests.

Role requires strong customer service, effective communication, and the ability to operate under pressure. First aid/CPR certification is preferred and uniformed security duties are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• One year experience in a customer service environment such as museum, educational facility, stadium, amusement park, or related.
• One year experience in security or asset management preferred.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of security roles as it relates to customer service environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, deter, and respond to tampering, vandalism, and theft of artifacts and property.
• Conduct patrols in interior and exterior areas.
• Provide information and support to visitors, staff and vendors.
• Enforce Museum safety and security policies and procedures.
• Respond to emergencies (medical, fire, earthquakes) including basic first aid.
