Job summary

Legends is seeking a Public Safety Team Member for the Convention Center in Hampton, VA. This part-time, hourly role involves patrolling the facility, greeting visitors, monitoring cameras, and responding to incidents with professionalism.

Under supervision, you will assist in emergencies, log activities, and coordinate with operations staff to ensure safety while accommodating event needs. Night/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years related work experience.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Public safety/security experience and CCTV familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security of interior and exterior by patrolling the premises.
• Greet employees and guests and verify their identity.
• Monitor and operate security cameras and equipment.
• Write incident reports and document issues.
• Assist in emergency situations including evacuation.
• Respond to calls for service and communicate with management.
• Log visits, keys, radios, and PPE as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow safety procedures.
