Job summary

The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) seeks a full-time Salesforce Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support Salesforce applications used by the Department. The role requires translating business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Salesforce configuration tools.

Qualifications

• Professional/vendor certification(s) in local area network administration is required.
• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and two years of satisfactory full-time LAN/WAN experience, or
• A four-year high school diploma and six years of satisfactory full-time IT experience, with at least 2 years in LAN/WAN roles, or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience to the above; 30 undergraduate credits = 6 months experience; master’s degree can substitute for one year of experience

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support Salesforce applications used by the FDNY.
• Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, LWC, SOQL, and configuration tools.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA staff, project managers, and other development teams to deliver enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and defects; support production applications; perform data updates and migrations.
• Implement security, user access, and role-based permissions; participate in testing, code reviews, deployments, and documentation.
• Contribute to modernization and continuous improvement of FDNY's Salesforce applications.
