Are you a driven public safety leader ready to lead strategic sales and business development in one of the most dynamic and critical regions in the country?

Mission Critical Partners (MCP) is seeking a Public Safety Sales Executive to identify and secure new business opportunities, working closely with public safety agencies and federal programs to tackle mission-critical challenges. This role gives you the opportunity to help drive MCP’s growth while delivering innovative solutions that enhance public safety and justice across the Southwest United States.

About the Role

The primary responsibility of the Public Safety Sales Executive at MCP is to lead sales and business development efforts within a dedicated region—now focused on the Southwest U.S., including key states such as Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, and Southern California. Your mission is to identify opportunities where MCP can support current and prospective clients in solving their critical challenges while helping MCP grow our business and meet our strategic goals.

You will serve as MCP’s primary business development contact across the Southwest, forging meaningful relationships with public safety and justice leaders and organizations. You’ll tap into MCP’s unmatched bench of expertise—comprising over 200 industry practitioners—and work to deliver outcomes that enhance community safety, improve operations, and implement transformative technologies.

What You’ll Do

Lead sales and business development efforts across the Southwest United States Identify and pursue opportunities to help public safety organizations solve complex, mission-critical problems Develop strategic client relationships with public safety agencies, law enforcement, emergency communications, and justice organizations
Execute regional growth plans focused on emergency communications, cybersecurity, and public safety operations Collaborate with federal programs on public safety initiatives relevant to the Southwest region Guide clients through project lifecycles to ensure positive, lasting impacts

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive and time sensitive business development and growth plan with strategies for growth performance. Utilize existing relationships, meet sales targets resulting in client satisfaction and profitable engagements
  • Research, discover and source leads. Call on senior-level executives and forge new client relationships
  • Close new business with an understanding of our client’s needs and requirements; develop and negotiate project contracts, and review client/contract specifications with project teams
  • Build and maintain a sustainable sales pipeline in the Customer relationship management (CRM) system and lead in the development of annual regional territory sales plan for the company. Report on business development and growth activities weekly
  • Actively participate in sales proposal development
  • Delight the client. Provide positive client relations, working with them as partners to develop long-term and meaningful relationships for mutual benefit
  • Write grant applications; participate with procurement process for clients including technical RFI, RFP, RFQ, and ITB. Remain current on industry and legislative changes related to 9-1-1; assess impact to clients
  • Collaborate with our marketing team to identify new opportunities, interpret trends and promote efforts to meet current trends
  • Coordinate activities at trade shows and conferences
  • Support and promote our core values, the team, and leadership in achieving the MCP corporate mission and goals
  • Perform well in a multi-tasked environment with continuously shifting priorities
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 years of experience in emergency communications, public safety and/or emergency management
  • 5 years of business development experience. Proven success developing new opportunities and managing growth of consultancy based professional services for public safety and/or mission critical systems
  • Membership and participation in affiliations and organizations pertaining to Public Safety, including various boards and committees. The candidate must have established relationships in both commercial and government environments serving the Law Enforcement, Public Safety and/or the 9-1-1 community
  • Successful history and thorough background working with Public Safety Operations, Land Mobile Radio (LMR), Broadband and Wireless Communications for Public Safety, Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1), IP based technologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Knowledge of Deltek Vision, SalesForce and/or other automated Customer Relationship Management Systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local agency policies and regulatory activities related to 9-1-1
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to drive to our client locations and MCP regional offices
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office; Customer Relationship Management systems; Project Management Software)
