Job summary
The City of Pasadena seeks a Radio Technician III to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair communications and electronic equipment in City and emergency vehicles. Responsibilities include two-way radio systems, emergency lighting and sirens, radar systems, mobile video cameras, antennas, and related components.
You will maintain records, inventories, programming databases, and preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring safety and adherence to specifications.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record.
- Preferred: 3–5 years installing, programming, maintaining, and repairing two-way radio systems in public safety or fleet environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair two-way radio systems and related equipment in City and emergency vehicles.
- Configure radio antennas, wiring, connections, and components.
- Program and maintain Motorola two-way radios using programming software.
- Maintain radio databases, inventories, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure safety and compliance with manufacturer specifications and City requirements.
