Qualifications

• Six years of qualifying experience as a law enforcement officer, trainer, or public safety program administrator in a local, state, or federal agency.
• Experience in research, development, and implementation of training programs in law enforcement, fire service, emergency management, or related discipline.
• Current or prior experience as a sworn law enforcement officer in New York State with substantial traffic enforcement and impaired-driving enforcement experience.
• Experience administering and instructing Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs).
• Working knowledge of New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law provisions related to impaired driving.
• Experience developing law enforcement training curricula and evaluating instructors.
