Job summary

The Town of Palm Beach Police Department is seeking qualified Police Officers to protect life and property within the town. Prospective officers will respond to calls for service and emergencies, investigate crimes, and perform related duties to uphold public safety.

Candidates must be Florida certified, US citizens, at least 19, and possess a valid Florida Driver License. Training, physical fitness, and weapons certifications are required to perform duties effectively.

Qualifications

• Florida Certified Police Officer requirement or completion of academic requirements per F.S.S Chapter 943.
• United States citizen, 19 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver License or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• No felony conviction or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls for service and emergencies, including criminal calls, and perform investigations as needed.
• Conduct crime prevention and suppression activities and prepare official reports.
• Attend training to maintain Police Standards Certification and weapon proficiency.
• Maintain physical conditioning and operate police equipment and vehicles under routine and emergency conditions.
• Perform community policing duties, traffic control, and安全 checks of property.
