Be a part of our team in the 660,000 square foot Savannah Convention Center located directly across from historic Savannah and on the Savannah River. The Public Safety Officer shall be responsible for the implementation of security policies and procedures of the department under the direction of the Public Safety Manager. Duties include but are not limited to: patrolling the interior and dock areas of the facility, completing written incident reports and departmental documents, and responding to emergency situations.The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focus oriented and is committed to providing the quality of work in line with our core values.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESComplete shift assignments as required in accordance with established guidelinesPatrol the interior, exterior and dock areas of the campus. In addition to the obvious dangers of confrontations with criminals, security officers need to be constantly alert and ready to deal appropriately with a number threatening situations. Officers frequently work weekends, holidays, and nights. Officers are expected to work at any time their services are needed and may work long hours standing post. Officer are expected to report for duty in full uniform with the appropriate and necessary equipment needed in the performance of their duty.
