Job summary

Gwinnett County is seeking an on-site position based in Georgia to support law enforcement operations. The role involves assisting with enforcement of County and state laws to maintain public safety and assisting in preparing reports on crimes, violations and accidents within the County.

The incumbent will help crime victims and the general public, perform security checks of closed businesses and residential areas, and maintain County equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with enforcing County and state laws when deemed necessary to provide a safe environment for the public.
• Assists with the preparation of reports on crimes, violations and accidents committed within the County.
• Assists in providing help to crime victims and the general public.
• Assists in performing security checks of closed businesses and residential areas.
• Assists in maintaining County car, uniforms, weapons and county property.
• Attends and testifies in court on behalf of the County.
• This position requires: 24 hours on call assignment, overtime, or working weekends, holidays, 10-hour, 12-hour, and rotating shifts.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
