Job Summary: Public Safety Officers foster and maintain a safe and secure environment for its students, faculty, staff, and visitors across all St. John’s University campuses and branch properties. Public Safety Officers report directly to Supervisors; they do not manage a staff.

Days off will be either Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday or Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday.
Travel: Public Safety Officers may be asked to work at any of our branch campuses within the US only.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly salary for this position is $24.00/hr. St. John’s University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
This position may be relocated to any of St. John’s University’s physical locations at any time.
