The Johns Hopkins Health System is seeking a Public Safety Officer I to patrol hospital entrances, grounds, and units, monitor cameras, control access, and respond to emergencies. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in security or customer service, a high school diploma, and the physical ability to stand, walk, and lift.

The Public Safety Officer I plays a key role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff within our healthcare facilities. Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Full valid driver's licence is required-

  • As part of the pre-employment process, a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and a SambaSafety risk assessment will be conducted.
  • Candidates must have no more than 5 points on their MVR.
  • Candidates must also have no more than 8 points from driving-related infractions, violations, convictions or no more than 15 or more points resulting from any type of non-valid license status (expired, suspended, etc.) on their Samba risk assessment.

• At least 1 year of security or customer service experience required.

• Must be 21 years old .

Working Conditions

Salary Range: Minimum 17.37/hour - Maximum 28.68/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
